Self-Serve Terms Addendum

Draft, not yet in effect  ·  See draft notice below

Draft, pending review This addendum was drafted alongside the self-serve signup feature (docs/SELF_SERVE_SDK_SPEC.md) as a starting point, not vetted legal advice. It must not gate real self-serve signups, and this page must not be linked from the signup flow, until reviewed by the founder or counsel. See docs/SELF_SERVE_SDK_SPEC.md in the repository for context.

1. Relationship to the main Terms of Service

This addendum supplements, and does not replace, the main Terms of Service. Where this addendum and the main Terms conflict on a point specific to the self-serve tier, this addendum governs. Everything the main Terms say about acceptable use, data and intellectual property, audit outputs, liability, and governing law applies equally to self-serve accounts unless stated otherwise here.

2. Who this applies to

This addendum applies to accounts created via self-serve signup (no invite code, no manual review) rather than the invited design-partner path. The main Terms' references to "the early access period" and "by invitation only" do not describe the self-serve tier. Self-serve accounts are open signup, subject to the limits below.

3. Free tier limits

4. Open scope and your own responsibility for independence

Unlike an invited design-partner account, a self-serve account is not restricted to a pre-registered list of agent owners: you may declare any agent_owner value for your own submissions. Jiminy's independence guarantee (that the submitting party cannot be the same as the agent owner) is enforced at the schema level by requiring these two values to differ, but for self-serve accounts Jiminy does not independently verify that the two values represent genuinely separate organisations. You are responsible for the accuracy of your own submitted_by declaration. Misrepresenting an audit as independently submitted when it was not may result in account suspension and, where the resulting audit was relied upon by a third party, could carry legal consequences outside of Jiminy's control.

5. No SLA on the free tier

The self-serve free tier is provided without a service-level commitment. Reasonable efforts are made to keep it available, but scheduled or unscheduled downtime, rate-limit changes, or feature changes may occur without the notice period the main Terms describe for paid accounts.

6. Changes to this addendum

This addendum may change as the self-serve tier develops. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date once this addendum is finalised and in effect.
